When a few passionate people who love their motherland and don’t like to sit around meet each other, interesting things happen.
The #NeVethie project organized in the Ramenskoe settlement of the Syamzhenskiy district, Vologda region, by Ksenia Gnezdilova aims to clean up the village and tear down all the buildings that are unsafe, fire-hazardous, and dilapidated.
The #ToyVologda project by the Vologda Museum of Childhood seeks to preserve old toys as part of the cultural and historical heritage of our country.
In old houses, there are often some unwanted toys left lying around. Previously, they all ended up in a landfill. Now they can find a new home in the museum and have a long life ahead of them.
A few days ago, a whole box of toys found during the clean-up in old houses arrived at the museum. After special handling and restoration, they will be put on display.
We thank Ksenia and all the participants of the #NeVethie project for preserving the memories. We promise to visit you soon with a traveling exhibition and tell you all about Soviet toys!
