The museum was created by a talented theater artist and collector Yulia Vishnevskaya in 1996. It became the first museum of antique dolls in Russia and one of the centers of the capital’s cultural life, giving people the opportunity to see and appreciate dolls that are genuine works of art.
The museum carries out active exhibition and educational activities in the field of the history of puppetry art, as well as in studying the role of dolls in the history and culture of childcare.
The collection of the Museum of Unique Dolls holds exhibits from different eras, from representatives of the 17th century to the present day.
