Director of the Association of Private Museums of Russia Alexei Shaburov said in an interview with RIA Novosti that the private museums owners understand the impossibility of the large-scale financing for everyone, therefore they ask for just one thing, to create the information support programs in the regions and at the federal level, including, for example, shooting a series of films about the private museums from Kaliningrad to Kamchatka. “This will help direct tourist flows to the museums. If such a program is adopted, it will encourage many of them,” he said.
The news agency’s publication also says that earlier the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation created a working group to prepare additional proposals to support cultural organizations affected by the coronavirus, including the non-state museums.
