We are pleased to welcome a new member of the Association of Private and People’s Museums of Russia – Private Mobile Museum of the History of Russian Security Agencies. The founder of the museum is Evdokimov Andrey Valeryevich.
The project is based in Novosibirsk, but we do not have our own premises for exhibitions, so we often create joint projects with the Historical Park “Russia – My History” (Novosibirsk), for example, a series of exhibitions “On Guard of Statehood. The history of military uniforms of Russian security officers 1900-2000”.
The project is based on a private collection and is dedicated to the history of the creation and development of domestic security agencies from Peter the Great to the modern Federal Security Service. In the collection of the project uniforms, at the moment it is more than 60 sets, 80% are original historical items, but there are also museum reconstructions, made with the highest quality and according to historical descriptions. For example, it took about 300 g of silver to create an officer’s scarf, for the reign of Peter the Great. Also in the collection there are models (deactivated historical items, according to the law of the Russian Federation “On Weapons”) of firearms and cold weapons, official, award signs, documents, photos, personal belongings of officers, etc. In total, more than 400 exhibits.
We are trying to develop our collection, now we are working closely on the theme of the “Secret Order of the XVII century”, preparing the reconstruction of uniforms, looking for various artifacts for this period.
We cooperate closely with the Russian FSS in the Novosibirsk Region as part of patriotic exhibition work. Together with GTRK Novosibirsk, a number of documentary films were made about the activities of Novosibirsk counterintelligence officers in the post-war years.
Address of the museum: The project is based in Novosibirsk, the museum is mobile and does not have its own premises.
