On October 2, an opening ceremony of the monument to the soldiers of the Great Patriotic War after a large-scale renovation will take place in Orekhovo village, Ryazan region. The local residents and Head of the Lakashinsky rural settlement Yu. V. Mashnin took part in the renovation, but the Association of Private and People’s Museum of Russia headed by A. Yu. Shaburov took on the main workload. On this occasion, Alexey Shaburov, Yury Mashnin, and residents of Orekhovo received letters of appreciation for the great contribution to the preservation of the history and memory of our defenders who died fighting in the Great Patriotic War from First Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Defense, Hero of Russia A. L. Krasov, and Avtoradio President Yury Kostin.
