The Helicopter Museum was opened in Torzhok – the first museum in Russia fully dedicated to helicopters of domestic aviation. The main objective of the museum is to draw attention to the history and development of helicopter construction in Russia, as well as to preserve and restore helicopters so that they can benefit people even after their service is over.
The museum’s exposition includes real helicopter models covering different stages of aviation development – from early models to modern machines. Here you can get acquainted with legendary helicopters such as the Mi-24 and Mi-8, learn about their design, combat use, and the people who flew these machines.
The museum also provides an opportunity to immerse yourself in the process of restoring machinery, showing how old machines are brought back to life for future educational use.
The Helicopter Museum is a member of the Association of Private and People’s Museums of Russia.
