In 2022 Elena and Benoit Lardy opened a chamber guest project “Lardy House” in the village of Lomy. To preserve the image and colour of the Russian countryside, a wooden Russian house with a rich hundred-year history was also restored in the same village. An interactive private museum about the history of the village and its inhabitants is being created, called “Big Life” – based on the short film of the same name about the life of the owner of the house.
The programme includes excursion service, visiting the museum by QR codes, master classes, seminars, lectures, theatrical performances.
The exposition of the museum presents authentic items of peasant life, preserved and restored furniture, utensils, textiles – from the pre-revolutionary era to the 70s of the XX century. Many items belonged to the Khersontsev family – the owners of the house, and some were donated by the residents of the village of Lomy.
