The Museum of Bohemian Life of St. Petersburg is located directly in the Rachmaninov Art Hotel. The new museum concept allows you to fully immerse yourself in the atmosphere of the bohemian past of the Northern capital, become a participant in the present, and get acquainted with the history and life of people belonging to certain creative fields.
Here you can find a unique collection of antiques, as well as works by prominent contemporary artists and photographers from a private collection. The room, in which the great composer Sergey Rakhmaninov lived from 1882 to 1885, being a student at the St. Petersburg State Conservatory, is the pearl of the museum’s exposition. These apartments are part of the hotel and can be lived in. You can not only admire antiques, but also use them. It is a special pleasure to play here on the old piano; to drink tea, coffee or champagne on the balcony overlooking the Kazan Cathedral is an unforgettable experience!
Exhibitions, vernissages, cultural nights, and thematic symposiums are held here on a regular basis.
