The project is based in Novosibirsk, but does not have its own exhibition space, so we often create joint projects with the Historical Park “Russia – My History” (Novosibirsk), such as a series of exhibitions “Guardians of Statehood. The history of military uniform of Russian security services employees from 1900 to 2000.”
The project is based on a private collection and is dedicated to the history of the creation and development of domestic security services from Peter the Great to the modern Federal Security Service. The collection includes uniforms, currently more than 60 sets, with 80% being original historical items, but also includes museum reconstructions made with the highest quality and according to historical descriptions. For example, it took about 300 grams of silver to create an officer’s scarf during the reign of Peter the Great.
The collection also includes models (deactivated historical items according to Russian Federation “Weapons” law) of firearms and cold weapons, official and award signs, documents, photographs, personal belongings of employees, etc. In total, there are more than 400 exhibits.
We strive to develop our collection and are currently working closely on the topic of the “Secret Order of the 17th century,” preparing a uniform reconstruction and searching for various artifacts from this period. We closely cooperate with the Federal Security Service of Russia in the Novosibirsk Oblast as part of patriotic historical and exhibition work. Together with the Novosibirsk State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company, a series of documentary films were made about the activities of Novosibirsk counterintelligence in the post-war years.
