The museum is dedicated to pressing environmental problems and pollution. The exhibition contains more than 400 original pieces. The tour is rather unusual: visitors become its direct participants. Children and adults not just watch and listen but also play, talk, and solve riddles. The main feature of the Ecomuseum is that you can and should touch some of the exhibits. The authors believe their main goal is not to surprise with an unconventional approach to such a sensitive issue as garbage but rather to make visitors think and feel their personal responsibility to the planet and the future generations. Here you can see how your everyday habits affect the common cause of keeping nature clean and protecting biodiversity, and also help to keep the family budget down.
The Ecomuseum offers workshops on nature art, waste art. The museum hosts parties (birthdays, New Year) in eco-style. Organizes cleanups, recycling collection events, children’s quests, charity events, etc.
In 2024, the EcoMuseum has its own unique building made from collected waste building materials. The main feature is bright coloured glass bricks and a living tree inside. MUZMUS also functions as a full-fledged eco-centre with the collection of more than 40 fractions of recyclable materials.
Visitors are offered tours: Overview, Thematic, Expanded and Dark Theme.
The exhibits are created from natural materials, primary and secondary resources in the style of thrash art, steampunk, etc. (contemporary art), as well as presenting current recycling methods (types, fractions, recycled goods)
Almost all the exhibits are created with your own hands. Other authors from different cities (Egoryevsk, Kolomna, Yaroslavl, St. Petersburg, Rybinsk) join in, and the collection of unique author’s art objects is regularly replenished.
