Artem Kin and Ekaterina Orlova, a young couple from Krasnoyarsk, a Siberian city on the Yenisei River, have been collecting toys from our childhood for more than five years, and every year their interest in this topic only increases. When there was no more space left at home to store the collection, it was decided: the museum – to be. So, in May 2023, the Museum of the USSR childhood opened its doors to visitors.
The museum’s activities include:
Activities aimed at preserving the historical heritage of the “Soviet toy” on the territory of Krasnoyarsk.
Exposition activity is one of the main directions of the museum. This area is the basis of museum communication and the basis for the implementation of cultural and educational activities of the Museum of the USSR childhood.
Various forms of museum work: excursions and lectures, master classes, round tables, museum holidays, individual meetings with children from orphanages and educational pre-school institutions.
Work on civic and patriotic education.
